Saying YES to the day

Every day, you wake up with the intent to say YES to the day, but for some reason, you end up saying NO.

You say NO by…

  • Embracing an all-or-none mentality

  • Placing everything and everyone else ahead of yourself

  • Operating as your biggest critic and worst enemy

  • Rehashing your past and worrying about the future

  • Emotionally eating, drinking, and numbing your pain

  • Pretending happiness is on the other side of an achievement

When you feel like a NO, effort is perceived as an obligation, something you have to do—which is where the phrase no-pain-no-gain comes from.

To improve your emotional state, you try becoming a YES by working out, eating clean, finishing that project, cleaning the house, and getting your to-do list done.

Dr. Robert Holden said: No level of self-improvement will ever make up for a lack of self-acceptance." In fact, when self-improvement doesn't stem from self-acceptance, it's self-rejection. In this scenario, all the effort you put forth only serves to make you feel worst in the long run.

The great news is you can't become a YES because you already are a YES! I want to extend you an opportunity to learn how to connect to your original goodness, the part of you that's peaceful, loving, joyous, worthy, and whole.

From this space, effort is perceived as an opportunity, something you get to do. All of a sudden, self-care no longer feels like a chore or grind, but an honor and privilege to express your YESness.

Join me every Monday, starting December 16th, 2019 through the end of January 2020 from 7:10-7:50 pm EST for a YES meditation, where I will guide you in rediscovering who you are apart from the painful experiences of your past.

You can register here, and I hope you'll consider inviting a friend too.

"I'm no longer sure what the question is, but I do know the answer is YES." Leonard Bernstein
