All of your protective behaviors: smoking, drinking, binge-watching, binge-scrolling, overexercising, overeating, undereating, hoarding, perfectionism, people-pleasing, procrastination, criticizing, gossiping, etc. are all a cover-up for the deep, unprocessed emotional pain of your unmet needs.
Please don't take my word for it, consciously avoid those behaviors, see what comes up, and then lean in.
