When it comes to change, I see failed attempt after failed attempt, not for reasons of demotivation or laziness but simply because the person has no space in their life to create change.
All creative endeavors are demanding and resources are required to accommodate them.
When you're already overcommitted, under delivering and trying to be everything to everyone, you aren't in a position to manage a personal transformation.
Identify how much time, attention and energy is required to get where you want to go and before you jump into tactics, ask yourself: Do I have the space (resources) to create this change?
If not, your first step isn't hitting the gym or even food shopping, it's stepping away from commitments that keep you from becoming who you ought to be.
