Wherever you go, it's become a custom for you to come back home.
Whether you went to school, played at a friends house, or went to sleep away camp, you'd always come back home.
And now, when you go to work, go the gym, or go on vacation, you still choose to come back home.
Emotionally though, we're not so good at coming back home. It seems we can't feel angry, sad, anxious, depressed, or shameful and come back home. Sometimes, we attach, we become lost, and we get stuck there. So much so, that we need to medicate ourselves to numb that reality.
But, if we were to sit, in stillness and silence, maybe we'd remember how to get back home. Maybe we wouldn't get there in a days journey, but perhaps we could start taking steps in that direction.
It's so important to feel all of your feelings, from fear to love and everyone in between, the uncomfortable ones, the scary ones, and dare I say the joyous ones. We just need to know how to recenter, how to balance, and how come back home.
